[Album Review] Arashi - Are You Happy?

mikunicchiOk, well I already say that I am a fan of Arashi and I don't really have someone to talk about the new album. So I will just write here~
Firstly, I am not an muic expert but I do this fan thing pretty seriously so I will tell that I listened all of Arashi song including single B-sides and all. So I think I can have a good look to the new album.
Secondly, I listened the album for the first time just now. I originally become their fan at Japonism album but honestly I really do thought Japonism was so Wagakki Band like and I couldn't hep but compare them. Well for me, Wagakki Band has more musician thing so I think they do better at this Japanese music thing but I actually quiet like the Japonism album. Though my favorite is Popcorn I do like their albums everytime a lot.
After Japonism album, I really wanted them to return their nonchalant, happy, sweet and cute themselves and yes I was REALLY happy about Are You Happy album.
1- Drive; (under the supervision of Jun M.)
First I'd like to talk about that I liked it or not. I like it. But its not like something new. Maybe because I got used to Arashi song styles but somehow I didn't get a image in it. I was waiting for something more like um... Catchy and where you feel wind on your face but nothing came like it. Maybe I expected something like Oh Yeah but Drive was more like, a night drive where you are alone and you can only see road lights. I somehow felt that I was alone but not suffering from loneliness.
Actually I got MatsuJun's cool image. Really, this is really something that fits his image. Like "hey I am cool" *lol*
From 10, I gave 9 to this song.
2- I Seek
I seek is a song that I love so much. I really have soft spots for Ohno and I was laughed so hard on his drama. And the song is really gives me the image that when he falls in love and do silly things for the girl. But really cute. I love the song. And I really love the lyrics. About wishs and about there is still a long way waiting for the boy. I love the song.
From 10, I gave 9 to this song.
3- Ups and Downs
This song is literally a live performence song. I like it and I really wanted to dance on this. For first time this song was the only one stayed on my mind. I want to see them dance on this song with Ohno's chareography. lol. I probably want that Ohno does the whole concert chareography.
I especially like the phrase that "don't need words"
I wonder their clothes on this song. lol.
All I can think is about concert on this song.
So from 10, I gave 10 to this song.
4- Seishun Boogie (under the supervision of Masaki A.)
The very first time I heard this song I thought "what a 90s melody" somehow I imaged old clothes and an old disco bar where boys dance for the girls attencion. *LOL* After I remembered this songs supervisior was Aiba-chan, I imaged all of the members in Disco Star clothes for a moment and now I really hate my imagination. #sorrynotsorry Aiba-chan. I can never overcome Disco Star.
Somehow I love Masqurade from previous album Japonism more. They somehow got the same old aura but for me Masqurade was better from this.
So from 10, I gave this 6 but I think this song will be the one that tooks over me soon... *somehow scary*
5- Sunshine (Sakurai Sho solo)
Ok, I love Sho-chan's sweet songs. Especially his smile makes me like the song. When I listened it for the first time opening of the song remined me of Kono Mama Motto but after listening it closely its more lively. I like it. I like Sho-chan's solos. Especially his sweet song like this and like Hey Yeah.
From 10, I gave 8 to this song. Sorry it didn't took over me.
6- Fukkatsu Love
Probably most favorite song of this album. I love its mellow melodiaus type and I love how the lyrics tells a story. From single to this day my heart was really taken over by this song. Not much to say,

7- Amore (Aiba Masaki solo)
Okay. This is the most likely the point why I decided to write this review thing.
I will be blunt and serious. I love Aiba's low voice. I love how he sings sweet love songs like Hello Goodbye.
But I really hate his fast and freaky songs. Sorry Aiba. Really.
For a moment I was really in tears. I thought "OH GOD THANKS AIBA SINGS SOME SWEET AND SLOW LOVE SONGS"
But then I was like... "WHY GOD WHY?!"
I just want to hope that there won't be a Disco Star like performence. I believe he can't do something like that on this song but I really wanted him to sing that sweet love song T-T
I forgot to give point to Aiba... I am ashamed of myself but Thanks to Lillyo I can fix it <3 From 10 I gave my sweet Aiba-chan 6
8- Bad Boy (Ohno Satoshi solo)
This song... Really broke my heart. I love his clear voice. I like the song but this way I can't hear his voice at all T-T
I really want to erease all of the digital thing on the back. Give back my dear Ohno solos... T-T
Normally I always give Ohno solos full point but now I can't... Sorry my dear Oh-chan T-T From 10, I gave 4 T-T
Edit: This song got almost everyone in fandom but personally I got tired when I listen it. Probably this is why I gave so low points to it. But well after I listened Ohno's radioshow today, I noticed I have to change some of my writings. I still think that Ohno's other solos beats this Bad Boy but somehow I think he wanted to do something without too much of thoughts. I can understand why so I will give my points again. I just ride with his suggestion and listen it again without thinking to catch the lyrics or try to feel anything. I just stand up and try to feel the rythm and now I think more positively about it. Still don't like it but now I don't hate it.
Now from 10 I gave 6. Please do your best Ohno-kun I will still support you eventhough I don't like this song~
9- WONDER-LOVE (under the supervision of Kazunari N.)
I had very high expections from this song and I got what I wanted. I really love Nino's music taste. He is mostly the one I love to listen. Eventhought my number one is MJ, I really love Nino's voice. I am very fond of this song. It got me.
So from 10 I gave 9
*so up till now this is the all of them I got to listen where I can make reviews. I will update it again tomorrow ~

10- Mata Kyou to Onaji Ashita ga Kuru (Ninomiya Kazunari solo)
I will not deny it. This song was probably the song that I had most expections. Like I said just before, I love Nino's voice and his song styles. I especially like the lyrics that written by Nino. So far my favorite was Gimmick Game and Music but this song got me really hard and now this song has become my number one.
Except that I like it, the song gives me the impressions of vocaloid. Somehow when I listen it I feel like I listen Hello, How are you? song. Gives me that sweet aura. I like it. I like vocaloid songs. Well I basicly don't like the vocaloid programe thing but NicoNico Douga has various types of producers and utaites. If Nino was a utaite I know he will be really popular. Or maybe he already has his own niconico account just that he never shares anything. lol
His voice has really various things. Like low and high notes... He is really talented with his lyrics also. This song is become my favorite so far. I like it how he sings fast and how he whispered some of lyrics *damneargasm*
So from 10 I gave a big 10!
11- Daylight
This song was the most favorite single after Fukkatsu Love. Well think it an effect of MJ but I love how its slow and encouraging. And I love its piano melody too. I really want to see it live.

12- Ai wo Sakebe
Ai wo Sakebe is my favorite song from 2015. I basicly love pv but I love how lyrics tells a pure love. When I first listened it, If I were to marry one day I want this song to be my wedding song. Well this is likely impossible but who knows lol

13- Baby Blue (Matsumoto Jun solo)
So here is my sweet MJ's solo! I actually don't like his song taste. I feel really sorry about this but most likely I don't usually listen his songs like We wanna funk We need a funk... His songs great but not really matches with my taste. Especially I love ballade songs more than club type melodies. But I have to say that I am really in love with his voice. Especially in the songs like Aozora Pedal, Tabidachi no Asa, Blue or Tell me why.
I love his lovefull voice but lately all he sings is this songs that is full of English phrases. And goes like, "boom! bang!"
So this song, Baby Blue, is become my favorite all amongst the MJ solo songs.
I like it how he sings althought I wanted him to sing something more slow but this is also acceptable. This is only my opinion but I really want to see how he sing a bittersweet love song like ummm maybe Nino's Niji? This is my one and only wish <3

14- Miles Away (under the supervision of Satoshi O.)
Since I did say how I love slow and ballade songs of Arashi I will tell this is the most favorite song of mine amongst the album. I love Ohno's music taste too but I didn't knew what to expect. So I let it run with its original line. I have nothing to say. It brought me tears. Especially when they sing the phrase "miles away" Somehow it made me remember about my ex boyfriend lol.
Ohno has such a powerful voice and Arashi has such a power that can make me cry. I don't know how many times I cried when I listen their songs lol.
From 10 I gave 11!
15- To My Homies (under the supervision of Sho S.)
This song was one of the songs that stuck on my mind for this day. I like Sho's sweet songs and this has the same impression. Though I don't actually like the rap style songs that much I like most of the SakuRap and I like the rap inside of it. Its very Sho-ish song and somehow it sounded like this song is Sunshine's continuation.
But I don't really have problem with those song types so; From 10, I gave 9
16- Don't you get it?
I was mostly curious about Don't you get it. Because somehowe pv and other things reminded me Happiness pv and al of the members were HILARIOUS in Happiness pv. So Don't you get it become my second Happiness. Well both of the songs are making me stay awake so I am grateful for that. Lol*

17- Two to Tango
I like its melody. Its quiet heavy and intimating song. Oooh~ I love to imagine a don't you get it pv where girl goes behind our sexy and cool boys... It gives me chills to think it but I don't think this is a possiblty so I will continue to imagine it on my mind. LOL

Well most likely I love the album. But one is taken my attencion. Somehow this album has a hardly rap. I wonder why is that?
